30 year-old Tumor

My mom had her tumor surgically removed from her finger last weekend.




It's been there for as long as I could remember when she first told me some time in my teenage-hood, before it grew into somewhat rather obscenely bulge.

A tumor or tumour is a swelling or lesion formed by an abnormal growth of cells (called neoplastic cells). Tumor is not synonymous with cancer. A tumor can be benign, pre-malignant or malignant, whereas cancer is by definition malignant.


In plain English, it's just a lump of meat.

Of course there are cases where tumor can grow into something cancerous, so don't condone it thinking that it's harmless.

I was at the hospital playing with the tumor, or what's left of it (75% of it according to the doctor).
