Let's take a moment of silence here.

*stand up, walk out, shut the door*

YES!!!! *leap around in joy, stomp feet on ground and twirl around the swimming pool*
Tralalalala!!!!! La di da!

*cool down, open door, walk back in*

ok... where were we?

So yea, yesterday I received a phone call from Ian of Sunway Resort, to apologize for the whole incident (he later called Casey to apologize to him personally too) and also to inform me that Mr Fazli has been removed from his position. Btw, Fazli was just a temporary contracted bouncer anyway. And that he were to speak to the security manager whom I spoke to that night. Yea, the one who said we were caught on CCTV.

Truthfully, when I first heard that he's been removed from his post yesterday, I felt a tinge of guilt, but when I recalled the whole incident and re-read my blog entry again, the guilt flew out of the window and dropped dead 20th floor below.

Screw guilt. I want to bask in this moment.

And you know what? It gets better.
Ian later sent me a final email after the phone calls.

letter from sunway

Now I get VIP treatment the next time I go to MOS, personally by Ian himself.

*awe... you know, the guy was so sweet*
*but whether I will go back or not, well.. that totally depends. I have enough of clubbing now*

He explained that they've spent huge amount of money to bring in, build and market MOS Euphoria (was it 16 millions? I can't remember, I'm just guessing, don't sue me), and if they can't deliver the best service because of these people, it would have sucked big time.

Okay, not in exact words. But that's how I interpreted it.

Yes, it means that MOS is now safe to go! I am glad that they are taking actual actions with sincere intention to improve their services and correct their faults. Who knows, MOS might one day be the best club in town, in terms of people, services, music, crowd and er.... reasonably priced drinks? (okay, maybe not the last one)

But for now,

I only have one thing to say.

Take THAT! MR FAZLI!

  1. A testament to the power of blogs! Wish that you will stand firm on your decision NOT to go to the MOS despite their reassurance that you will get VIP treatment. You have the power of your blog to point out the wrongs and the abuses meted out by these goons of a bouncer. Not many have that privilege and will continue to suffer silently the abuses meted out to them. By patronising them again after being given VIP treatment would be tantamount to a sell-out of your principle - that you will "NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER GO BACK TO EUPHORIA AGAIN. EVER."

  2. You are a public figure. Taking on these bouncer fellas publicly and causing him to lose his job may not be a wise thing. I would be very careful when I walk out the door if I were you.

  3. u go girl!!! power to the people!!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. better pray he don't come after u.... lol

    ReplyDelete
  5. So you would still want to go back to the club as a VIP? I dunno about you, but one chance is what any club is going to get.

You only have to suffer from poor treatment from a service establishment ONCE!

Just my two cents worth. BTW, good blog you have here.

  8. Wow luckily u r not a politician. u changed your stand that fast, no doubt they may have invested millions of dollars but to get ppl like Fazli is the failure in the first place

    ReplyDelete
  9. Nicole, well done but please be careful that MR.Fadzli or his friends might be reading this. Be careful and I hope you are not in BKK.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Don't go there again... they might poison yr drinks or spit in yr drinks hahahaha...

    ReplyDelete
  11. just like the Dawn and XiaXue fight, in the end, they delete the post and move on.

I suggest you do the same.

just forgive and forget and leave everything behind and delete this 2 post since everything is now cleared up, and don't ever go back again.

  12. Screw MOS ,Not only Mr.Fazli ruin MOS.I only been there once but the way they treat patron as thoug they are boss. Nicole & friend being bullied once.. from your first post,u sound very angry and yes u must be angry now too! How many r so fortunate like u who has media & blog and let us know. Im sure many ppl bullied too.

    My experience there :

Walking into the door , shove by mat salleh after friend presenting receipt. Then only he let me in when another women signed the receipt. Its like dog ok.

The women wasnt really polite too.. heard she saying to my friend ' Not talking to u ' cause my friend told her to let me in while she was talking to another batch who want to go into the club too

    1 chivas : RM590 WTH .

  13. customer rights 1! Bullish bouncer with no brains 0!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I won't go back after such an experience. FYI, I am still (likely 4ever) boycotting one major retail outlet due to very bad cs. My $$ is better spend elsewhere than on those sh@##y joints.

  15. dear nicole,
i feel happy for you, really.
But i (and im pretty sure a lot of other readers) suggest u delete these 2 blog entries and move on.
And be careful...you never know what he might do for revenge. Afterall, you cost him his job. He might come after you. And as someone said above, you are, afterall , a public figure. Please be careful. Take Care, pls.

  19. they took action because you're a famous blogger, what do you think will happen if it was just a normal group that went there and had that kind of service?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Nicole,
Congrats, you got what you want.

I hope you realize that club bouncer always have geng everywhere. So, I think you should extra careful from now on. You cost him his job, he will never let you go just like that. Yup as a famous blogger you got the media power but just remember out there you just a single young amoi.

  21. yea.. served him right !!I hate rude bouncers too !!!!!!!

  22. to xx : i think the ladies who talking to u was the "m*ch*lle "right ???
i faced this kind of problem before ..

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hmm...

I always take first impressions of club as something permanent. I dunno about you, but I think I'll stick to a first decision

    ReplyDelete
  24. justice served! yay.. RAREEEE case though!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Pls stand by your words by NOT GOING to MOS again. Otherwise, a lot of people will think you are just trying to get a VIP treatment with such an outburst post.

You are a famous blogger thus some amount of damage control need to be done by Sunway knowing you will post the apology letter in your upcoming post.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Indeed, I was thinking something along this line is bound to happen. I even told one of my coworkers (who hasn't been to euphoria) that I read somewhere they have assholes for bouncers.

    Word spreads around.

Eh, next time bring me as your guest? I assume drinks will be on the house? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  27. I am glad you complained nicole....

malaysia is that way because too few of us complain...but ease of the heart ache on yourself

Rasa Sayang Resort in Penang once asked me..."sir, are you sure you can afford this hotel...you don't look like you have the money"

I was travelling dressed in my usual t-shirt and beach pants...imagine i just landed from my flight and am all tired...and you so call 5 star establishment do this to a guest?

    I screwed them...

They ushered me all over the hotel and ran up to me whenever i came down the lift...and they let me walk in and out of breakfast buffet as and when i liked...

    =P

  29. I would NEVER go to MOS after reading ur post and even their apologies. Just careful that the fired bouncer is around there waiting for u, forget MOS, don't go there anymore whatever they promised u.

    ReplyDelete
  30. was there for the opening...for a start, the decor is really cool and yeah, the no smoking policy coz i no longer smoke. the last i went was for a friend's bday bash, the crowd is different. doesnt seem to portray itself as an exclusive and decent club no more coz i myself dont feel safe inside (despite the expensive charges for cover and bottles)
poppy and velvet is still very much my fav.

  33. not bad ah.. ppl from MOS are quite efficient also. haha.

  34. Hi' everyone..i jes came across this topic on bouncers. I agree that Bouncers here do get edgy when it come's to keeping the place safe. As a guy they give u the evil eye..even bf u done anything. I had a few encounters with bouncers before. They have a superiority complex even bf they worked as a bouncer. Now i guess it's worse...

But they needn't take the blame solely. The management has the sole responsibility of ensuring customers safety as well as enjoyment.Bouncers shud go thru certain briefing (on handling situations)not muscle /or use brawn at the slightest instance.

Bouncers must remember , customers come to enjoy not look for fights/ or trouble. having said that i hope Management will see to it that bouncers do not become anti-social and start treating customers like vagrants. We are paying customers mind u, not free loaders.

    Thank u

    ReplyDelete
  35. They shud have coolers instead of bouncers.Relatively unheard of..coolers are ppl who sees 'situations' , steps in and cools down the situation before it escalates. They dun have to look demeaning or brawny. They shud be frenly and accomodating.

Customers are sometimes a bit stressed out but they mean no harm. jes advise them to chill out. mostofb them will heed the advice, well for those who r looking for trouble we can always refer them to MR.FAZLI...ahem

    ReplyDelete
  36. You mentioned that he was a temporary contracted bouncer there. For all you know his contract as just ended and he's actually leaving.

Your nite were spoilt. You can't go back time. Vengence? Lolx..

    ReplyDelete
  37. Look at it from MOS's point of view. Out of 100+ workers, one bad apple and you boycott just because of that? They've done all they can to make it up to you. Kudos to the management to come out and apologize (though i doubt any average joe would get the same treatment). I was surprised your complaint made it all the way up there. Most clubs would not even give a rats ass.

By giving them a second chance, you're basically sending a message that listening and fixing customer complaints work. At the end of the day ALL of us wins.
