Model Search Diary: Singapore Weekend Getaway
Last Sunday we departed to Singapore for a 3D2N of overseas photoshoots...
Normally I wouldn't consider Singapore an 'oversea' destination, but heck, beggars can't be choosers. lol.
So off we went with the models and photographers and cam crew; the latter two I've made friends with and it was a heck of a time to hang out with them. They cracked me up as much as their lame cold jokes.
It's sorta a work trip so there wasn't a lot of chances to go around in Singapore. Sorry friends of Singapore whom I haven't gotten in touch with, again, while I was there. I'm sure to make a special trip down specifically soon just to chillax and eat and have fun.
We checked into Siloso Beach Resort which was by far the best accommodation we had the whole two months of imprisonment *cough cough* I mean... ha ha... competition.
Jokes asides, it was a really fun trip for me.
We went to Threadbare and Squirrel on Haji lane for casting and I bought myself a funky pair of sunnies while being filmed.
The semi-cutout black dress that was fit on me.
I had a hard time choosing between these two pairs, both of which I camwhored with to death on my iPhone. lol.
I have to check all angles before making the final purchase, you know, girls being girls.
The other pair of a bright pink round sunnies with inverted-bowl shape that stuck out on closer inspection.
I really liked this pair too but it looked normal from afar so I opted for the more edgy first pair.
Threadbare and Squirrel on Haji Lane. Love this shop.
The outfit I was fitted on.
was asked to tie my hair up cause it looked neater that way. I finally came to a point where I enjoyed looking sleek.
Few of the things in the shop I love.
happy socks!
I wanted all of them simply because of the name. I'm such a sucker for good marketing.
rubber band watches
rubber band real diamond rings!
We had the evening off so I met up with my friend Gary and we went to a very famous Ramen store nearby to hunt for good ramen, while dragging the rest of the photographers with me. lol.
Ikkousha ramen I finally get to try you!
Located on the 4th floor of Bugis+ mall beside Bugis Junction.
The broth was super yummy and since I only had Marutama as a reference point, I would say broth was much better but noodles was so-so while the eggs were mediocre. I also prefer Martutama's pork char siew.
Well, one tick off the list of my ramen hunt.
Then Gary and I adjourned to the ground floor for some sinful but oh-so-good gelatos which he insisted we have. I wasn't going to argue with that!
Dark Rocher and Baileys Irish Cream. Both flavours such divine tastes! I want to go back to Singapore just to have this!
Before I left to board the bus back to KL, Gary handed me a box of delighted that had me gaping with my mouth wide open for a full one minute.
Mooncakes from Awfully Chocolate OMFG!!!!!!!!!
Someone kill me please.
It's now sitting in the fridge of the apartment and I can't wait to sink my teeth into them right after Saturday's finale.
