Girls Island Getaway: Part 1
Few months ago I organised a trip to Langkawi island with some of my girlfriends. It was more fun than expected and a trip that has been long anticipated.
We did Langkawi because it was near and it was our first successfully planned trip. Prior to this trip, I tried planning a trip to Phuket but failed, and another to Macau, that one failed too. Apparently getting a few adult working girls together to a weekend getaway is harder than planning a visit to your mother's in law. jk.
So when overseas trip seemed a little too ambitious, and we wanted somewhere beachy, and easily accessible, Langkawi seemed to be the best option.
Thus on a Friday afternoon, we flew in to Langkawi airport with bags and bags of beautiful beach clothes and enough swimwear to host a swimming competition of our own. We then booked ourselves a big van and drove ourselves (such big girls we were) to our bungalow villa.
three girls will be sleeping on the king size bed
lazy amanda :p
a lovely big balcony for wine sessions and lots of truths and dares ;)
Ambong-Ambong Rainforest Resort's villa was more pleasant than I thought, but then I did spend 3 days scouring the internet and hundreds of reviews before settling for this place. You cannot imagine how hard it was to find a place that's affordable, and could fit all 5 girls in one room.
After checking in, we went out to buy lots of booze and chocolates to prepare for our midnight pillow talk session *cheeky smile* and then headed for dinner at one of the best seafood restaurant in Langkawi, in my personal opinion, the best - Orkid Ria Restaurant. I dined here almost every time I visited Langkawi.
their calamari super yummy. Too bad they don't serve mayonnaise.
Salted egg yolk crabs. So heaven!
girls do like their tomyums.
Next we went island hopping.
;)
Stay tune.
