Calling for lens.. lens.. oh lens...

It's one week to Vietnam.

Anyone can sponsor or loan me a wide angle lens for my Canon 500D?

Hopefully a specific EF 17-40mm f/4.0L USM???

Well, actually, any wide angle lens suitable for scenery shots would do.

Anyone?
I'll post up nice nice nice nice nice nice photos after that. :p

  1. hey, Nicole...
nice lens you have in mind there... but if you want a really good wide angle for all you landscape shot.. i would suggest the canon 10-22mm USM...
its a ultra wide angle lens that covers 16mm since you are using a x1.6 crop body which is alot more coverage from the 17-40mm f4...

another lens i suggest you to get is the 50mm 1.8 for nice blur background shots... and its cheap...

  2. Leon is right... 10-22mm is the lens to get for wide angle for your cropped camera...

  3. 17mm? not wide enough. I'm getting a 10-22mm instead. cheaper than an L lens anyway. :D

  4. I have 17-55mm lens, which is a cheap lens, you can easily get it on ebay, but I agree with Leon 10-22mm going to do much better job or wide angle landscape picture.

But if you want a lens that are great for both portrait (excellent DOF and sharp at large aperture), low light and wide angle, try 35mm f/1.4L USM, I have 50mm f/1.8 which is a great lens but is no comparison to 35mm f/1.4
