In Search of the Crazy House

Long long time ago, I heard of a magical place called the Crazy House, located somewhere in secluded part of Vietnam. Somewhere central. (Go on, google it)

And according to wanderers who have discovered this place, came back and told stories of swirly stairs that rose to the sky, themed rooms of animals and insects, jungle bed and wooden tables and chairs, wondrous garden spin in spider web; it would be like living in a fairy tale for real.

So I dragged my mom and half-brother *insidejoke* Gerald away from Ho Chi Minh City, and into the unknown wilderness. On a bus.

And landed in Dalat.

dalat

Dalat is in the South Central Highlands of Vietnam, a very cool weather place when you come during the end of the year, according to Wikitravel, it used to be "the playground of the French who built villas in the clear mountain air to escape the heat and humidity of the coast of Saigon".

Kinda like our little Cameron Highlands, only lower, hence warmer.

Before the trip, I have spent many days of research to get my hand on the exact location of this place,

and I found it.

After nearly getting ourselves lost, we managed to hop onto a taxi and direct ourselves to the front gate of this mysterious place I've heard and read SO MUCH about on the internet.

Crazy House.

Just like how it looked on photos, only more.

What's even more, I would be staying in Hang Nga House (also known as Crazy House) for two -nights to complete my fairy tale dream-come-true.

In the next post, I will be doing sharing my experience, as well as sights, of Hang Nga.

Folks, I may have the most extensive photo collection of Crazy House to date (since I could never find that many photos online with so many photos of the place) and it's going to be shared online for all to see.

This is going to be legen... wait for it... dary!
