Big Marsupials, Small Marsupials
For some really cute photos of the OZs mascots.
Okay, maybe that's not cute. But what about this?
Want to see Wallaby's babies?
No, not that baby. This baby.
The one in the pouch.
They're so cute.
If you must know, kangaroo, wallaby and the Tasmanian devil are all under the Marsupial family. And they're Australia's most iconic animals.
Firstly because they're everywhere, other than Tasmanian devils because they're mostly found in Tasmania and was populating the place like rats to sewers until a plague years ago which nearly wiped them to extinction.
Despite their stereotypes from Looney Tunes, the Tasmanian Devils are really cute animals that made a lot of noisy sounds and are really timid. Scare them once and they'll run away. LOL.
As for wallabies, they're just plain adorable.

ReplyDeleteWallabies are actually smaller than roos.
ReplyDeleteAnd you forgot to add another famous Aussie marsupial to the list: koalas! Unlike what many think of, koalas are NOT bears.

ReplyDeleteSo damn cute!!! I love these pictures. We got a million photos when we were in Aus but they were stolen so I am loving your posts!
ReplyDeleteWallabies are much smaller than kangaroos and more friendly. Kangas can stand 7 feet tall whereas wallabies are about 5 feet.
ONE WORD : CUTE
ReplyDeleteErm, the kangaroos are quite tame... But once it disturbed, they might ran away or kick you aside... Kangaroo legs are very strong... Kungfu Kick!
