Oh ya, I cut my hair, again. Now it’s super short, but never been easier to maintain. Don’t worry, I’m still me, only maybe….less attractive, still me nonetheless. :p


There’s no point traveling if you were to go to an island in some foreign country, only to listen to what the tour guide/travel agent tells you to do, pay them high commissioned trips of what suppose to be a low budget tour adventure and have them giggled at your stupidity behind your back (or in front of you if you don’t speak Thai).

My island escape was rather an amusing one. I always see my life in a way that god love me so much to let me go through it without a hint of mint and honey every now and then.

Let me assume, boldly, that if a tourist were to go to Koh Samui, he would probably do some or all of the following: scour around the island on either Chaweng or Lamai beach, take tuk-tuk or rent a motorbike to get their way around town, sign up on expensive tours to visit all the tourist hotspots on the island or go out to sea to snorkel in marine parks in some neighbouring islands, dine at pricey so-called Thai restaurant around the islands and probably pay 700 bhat for a 30 mins ride on an elephant or perv on topless ang mo sun-bathing by the beach (I saw one, but only A cup).


I beg to differ.

Instead of taking the usual direct flight / train to Koh Samui, I took an overnight bus, which cost only RM50 to reach Hatyai,




And landed myself in Hatyai bus station

Found out I was the only foreign passenger on the bus.



Discovered some dirt cheap full body massage services,




And paid RM20 for an hour massage,




By the beach,


I’m in heaven



Got my first ticket in Thailand,




While riding on an ATV (all terrain vehicle)




And still don’t understand what I got fined for


I can’t read Thai -.-;;



Traveled the distance,




To see some rocks,




And more rocks...


got juice one somemore


Thai people must really love rocks.



Went shopping,




For food,




To prepare a candlelight dinner,




With side dish,

Grub anyone?

on a bus, in my life, within such a short period of time.

Over the past 32 hours, I have crossed 2 countries, 3 states, 4 buses, 5 interchanged hours and 25 hours of pain-stakingly exhausting bus rides, I have finally made it back to Melaka!! Home sweet home! Kiss the ground and thank god I'm alive.

This journey is ever so, bizarre! The trip took me on a ride on a bus that sailed on a ferry, I have walked the border of Thailand to Malaysia on foot, had breakfast in Kelantan, lunch in Kuala Terrengganu and dinner in Kuantan. Before I knew it, I just traveled across the East coast of Peninsula Malaysia in one day, that makes the whole of Peninsula Malaysia over the past 5 days including Southern Thailand and Koh Samui.

If there were any cheaper way to see Malaysia (and Thailand), enlighten me. Experience it, I dare you, at a price of RM112.

When I first arrived here, I was promised with serenity and peacefulness. An island with many beautiful sceneries, not to mention, lovely 'ladies'.

After 17 hours of bus ride and 90 minutes of ferry journey across the sea, I was RM88 poorer.

The island is more commercialised that I thought it would be. Over-ly somehow. Just on the street from the jetty to Chaweng beach alone, I've sworn to have seen more than 10 7-Elevens, hair saloons and had lost count of pharmacy outlets. Geez, there's even Starbucks and Swensen here!

Been raining day and night everyday since the day I got here. Talked about bad luck. So I decided to have a little dinner of my own instead of the overly expensive tourist charged food I had everynight, though I did try some cheap market thai food, they didn't differ much from Malaysian food.

Just bought some decent 'local' food from TESCO on the island today.
