Estee Lauder Crescent White Range Review

Since getting to know several beauty blogger friends, I started trying out new beauty products more often. Recently I was asked to try out the new Estee Lauder Crescent White Range so here's my review of it.

It came in three products to the three steps in daily facial ritual.

I came back from a long day at work so my skin was super fatigue and dull. I decided to try the products to see the difference it can make on my skin.

All the photos below are without photo edit and filter. Straight from the phone.

Step 1:

I started off with the Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Treatment Lotion, which acts as a toner after cleansing your face. So usually I also double it as a refresher during the day because it can revitalise yoiur skin with a surge of hydration and at the same time corrects the look of dark spots.

Pour and do a quick swipe to spread it evenly and then start patting your face lightly to let it get absorbed. I don't like to use cotton pads for my toner because I feel that more moisture goes onto my face when I apply direct. I love the smell of the toner too, so refreshing.

Step 2:

Here I use the Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Spot Correcting Essence after the toner. This high performance essence helps even skin tone and significantly reduces the look of dark spots. The secret lies in the Japan Quasi-Drug whitening and anti-inflammatory formula.

Then spread it from middle of the face and gently swipe upward towards your ears. This is the correct way to apply essence and moisturiser onto your face.

Spread evenly on your forehead too, swipe upward from forehead and then swipe alongside toward the side of your face.

Step 3:

Take the Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Creme, take a generous dollop with your finger, and tap five spots onto your face. This helps strengthen skin's moisture barrier and correct the look of dark spots and prevent new ones. The result is a more supple and translucent, even-toned and bright skin.

Again same method with applying the essence, the slight pull to the side of your face will help tighten your skin. See it as a face lift exercise.

And done. VoilĂ !

What do you think? Do you see the brightening effect?  It instantly gave a radiant effect to my skin right? And I  LOVE the smell. It's not oily and very easy to apply on.

If you go back to the first photo of my face, you will see how dull my skin looked. In this photo, it looked like I just freshen up in the morning and am about to head out. Quite surprised with the effect. Very impressed with it.

My Thousand Ringgit Betjeman and Barton Afternoon Tea

I don't believe I have afternoon tea that's billed up to RM1000 before.

To be exact, the bill came up to RM1229 between 4 people. It was awesome.
Okay. Granted. We all brought back some gifts of our own: a musical tea box with our own favourite tea each (with cost like RM200+ sans the tea leaves). And myself a golden spoon! Read on.

24k gold plated.

It was high time the girls and one guy and I caught up for a tea session before Cindy leave for her Singapore trip. And it's been a while. So while we were choosing a place, I brought up a new tea place and we had Betjeman and Barton arranged a tea session for us one afternoon.

could see a weirdly distorted face of Cindy here lol

The fun thing about visiting Betjeman and Barton is that the staff will bring you on a mini tour around the shop introducing their teas, all imported from France, and having you smell each and every one of their best selling. It's my favourite thing to do really whenever I bring a new friend to the shop.

Most of their teas smell heavenly and some really uniquely and it made you want to sit down and have an entire afternoon just trying tea. Before I became allergic to caffeine, I was a mega tea fan, and the fact that there are so many non-caffeinated options in Betjeman & Barton made me relieved my addiction. You know how you always get limited choice when you opt for the less than mainstream flavor, you never get cherry or vanilla flavor coke light, you get coke light, that's it, maybe coke zero, which is worse. For non-caffeinated tea it's always camomile and the usual fruit fusion teas, I don't mind camomile but I'm definitely not a fan of fruit teas.

But here there are just so many options. If I had to choose, I would say my favourite would be the Rooibush Jardin Rouge (flavored with strawberry and rose and lavender, etc); which I got one for myself in the end.

collectibles of teapots, I saw priced at RM999. Wow.

one of their two best sellers

I had to applaud Betjeman and Barton for their delicious cakes. Each one more decadent than the next. It's quite affordable and the taste is just heavenly. I love the banana chocolate mousse cake most.

This is some tea extract drink brought in from France, I wanted to try this but maybe another time. I was so stuffed at this point. And then there was more coming.

macaroons! Black sesame and passion fruit if I'm not mistaken.

We could only manage a small bite of each flavor at this point.

It didn't stop me from wandering over to the chocolate shelf. Old habit die hard. How could I not? It was visually tantalizing. I guess I'll have to come back again to try these.

The moment of truth! The breakdown of our total bill:

So a massive chunk went to our Tea For Two musical box and tea leaves (50g each) & my golden tea strainer spoon; technically the tea sets here were really affordable, but the total bill was still pretty heart stopping. LOL.

My brought home gift:

It was close to Valentines and this was just so suitable for the occasion.

Look how gorgeous my Rooibush tea looked. Mad love.
