The night goes on~ and I got stomped!!

Shortly after that party, photos that I have requested for the night flooded in my emails, I was estastic. Finally, something to console my lost of many great photos due to my recklessness of not charging my camera.

A beautiful girl with me~

A white bride and a black widow, the perfect match~

God, this vampire is sure scary with his make up

Later on that night, a guy in a fancy camera asked for a shoot, and I received this item

I got stomped?? What does it mean?

So I decided to check the site out. And I found my photo there~!

http://www.stomp.com.sg/gallery/halloween06/index.html

I'm on singapore website, how odd is that.. haha~ and I think I fell in love with the photographer, or his camera. Even inside a pitch dark area within Zouk with miscellaneous lights flashing around, he is still able to capture such good photos.

I left the club at around 3am in the morning, the best part is, the club was still hot when I left. By this hour in KL, they would have started chasing people out of the bar.

I was in a total mess when I left, eye lashes falling out, white paint coming off my forehead and nose. Hair's a mess! This is how I looked like on the way home in the cap,

completely wiped!

Reaching home was when the real pain start. Removing the paint! By god, if I knew it would be THIS difficult to remove, I would've think twice before applying a THICK layer of paint onto my skin. I used more than a quarter of bottle of my strong eye make up remover and took twice the effort to put off than to apply it on. Especially when almost most of my body from chest up are covered in paint! >_< *sob

This is how I looked the next day~

Super refreshed! Don't be fooled, most of the paint are still underneath the turtle neck, hahaha

Halloween ROCKS!!

Walking down the street of Aliwal, I kept my eyes peeled for the shop that I have been looking for. Locating the street was one difficult task, if not for my dear friend Guan Jie, I might as well be lost in Singapore for good. After what seems like 20 minutes of searching, I saw the sign board "No 1 Costume Costume".

Claims to be Singapore's biggest costume shop, once entered the front glass doors, I was drowned by rows upon rows of costumes, of all colours and designs, looked almost like hollywood costume storage (except I have never been into Hollywood Movie Production site).

What's shocking was the amount of people in it, from the quiet and looked almost deserted street outside, one would never have thought what was happening inside. It was like Mega sales, only more fascinating. After walked passed the rows and rows of my dream wardrobe, I arrived at the middle of the 'shop' (looks more like a single storey mansion) where most people accumulate, to pay for their outfits and rentals of costumes.

The place was like a dictionary of costumes, anything you want, it's there. Suddenly I regretted not bringing my camera out for the day :( There're witches and ghouls, ghost and vampires, maid and nurses, fairies and devils, Elvis and Marilyn Monroe, even a fit-on Milk Carton, I even saw the gown of queen elizabeth the 1st.

Can u imagine the real thing?

With the amount of costumes rented. it appeared that everyone in Singapore is heading out partying later on. And we had a full preview of what was on that night in that shop as people of all races were trying on the costumes, not to mention extremely hot caucasions and model like girls. It just made me more anxious for the night. And so we spent almost an entire afternoon there looking for the right accessories for my friend and some special make ups for me.

Once I got home, it was time for the preparation. Putting on make ups was hell a lot harder than I thought. Since my title is black widow - gothic style, I need to look the part. So the first step, bleach myself. It took me almost a freakin' hour and half to make myself look fair enough to be dead. With two sponges and half a tub of white body paint gone, this is what I achieve.

Mmm, doesn't look fair enough, maybe I should add more~

Isn't that a nice gown? I though so.. Ha ha... I bought it in England while on sale. It was from Morgan and I simply adore it~!!!

I had an attempt with vampires fangs, but it was so difficult to put on and it wouldn't stick to my gum, worst part, the smell of rubber made me wanna vomit, so I took it off.

Man, do I look scary in these~ see the art design on both side of my eyes?

I also put on my fake crazily long eye lashes,

a bit blur, but very long~~~ first time i wear fake eye lashes

Now my veil and flower, and I'm set to go~!! We took a cap to Zouk and by the time we got there at 11pm, it was already packed with people. Prehistoric men and witches were roaming the streets, the uglies and beautifuls were everywhere to be seen.

The stone age man is hiding in the corner~

White chick in tiara??

The queue was terrifying.. We stood there for almost an hour before it moved a bit.

This is me, waiting in the queue

This is how the queue looked like taken from all the way in the back

Little did I know, we were on the wrong queue all the while, this queue is headed into velvet, I'm suppose to be in Zouk. So one hour of lining up was abandoned and we moved to another que on the far other end of the club. Talk about bad luck. I was flattered that someone wanted to take photos with me when looking for the right queue, that means my make ups pay off well.

This is me standing on the other end of the queue, full body shot

It was sometime later that some kind lady came and tell me that I could actually go all the way ahead in the front of the club and queue at the "costume que" where it is short *clap forehead* I wish someone would go around shouting for direction. Actually, there have been people moving around in their loudspeaker giving out where to queue, it's just that the crowd was too big and I was at the the line were it was too long and too far back to hear anything. -.- *feel like killing myself

Up at the short short queue, I saw these two men at my side,

Bloody Butchers!!

They were directing traffics earlier in front of the club.

Man, if these were the bouncers, I wouldn't wanna mess with them

Things started to get interesting as more halloweenians (I define this as people who dress up for halloween) appeared.

Captain Jack Sparrow, if only he was Johnny Depp

Pretty girls~~ Not sure what they are...

Halloween is great for guys and girls, the old and the young. You can never be too old for halloween and is it the only time of the year where you can dress as almost anything. Even barely nothing~

Honey, if I'm a guy, I would bed you. (Kenny, don't you wish you went to singapore with me now? Ha ha ha)

It was so crowded inside, but it was amazing. Everyone was taking photos in the first few hours of the party. The club was shooting smokey dry ice at everyone, I knew it right at the begining this would be the best party ever!

Those whitish smoke are dry ice~

Just right after this very shot, my camera battery went dead. CURSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was sent circling down a blackhole of madness, devastated that all those amazing people can't be kept for my precious view! But this was resolved slightly a bit as I started requesting people who wanna take a photo of me with them to send me a copy of the photo too. Hehe, I'm good~

This guy, eh hem, gal, er.. whatever, was one of the spotlight of the night, all eyes on him!
Singapore, here I come!

Reaching Singapore was a bliss when my friend bought me the most expensive bus ride I have ever taken. If a 25 seater bus is considered as VVIP seatings, then what I have taken must have been VVVVVIP seatings.

Having reached the station at 8.00 sharp in the morning on the 28th Oct, I was immediately directed to the lounge to wait for the bus to depart. What?! Lounge?? I entered and saw already a bunch of people having tea and coffee on sofas chit-chatting or watching TV's.

I felt bizzared as I led myself into the space and sat on the nearest sofa to the exit. 5 minutes into waiting, a guy in uniform stopped beside and asked for my bus ticket while at the same time enquiring if I wanted tea or coffee. Huh? Am I boarding a bus or in a coffee shop? Holy cow, there's waiters to our acquaintances?? I shyly declined of course, kampung girl ma~.

After getting on the bus, I was fascinated by my surroundings as I situated myself comfortably in my sofa size seat. What I saw in front of my was this!!

Mini TV screen behind every seat

Holy mother of god~!

The rest of the bus looked like this!

Uncle, you looked damn relaxed right~

5 minutes later, an announcement came up: "Good morning ladies and gentlemen, you are boarding NICE++ 8:30am bus ride to Singapore, we will depart shortly. Your driver today is Mr. XX and I am your stewardess for today XXX. Please ask for me if you need any help. Thank you."

Wtf?? MAS Airline ka?

30 minutes after departure, as I just settled down to relax after playing with the TV, receive pillow and ask for duvet cover from the stewardess, this was placed in front of me.

Breakfast is served!! - sandwich and chocolate bar

Wa lao, if not for the scenery outside reminding me I was on road, I am convinced that I have just accidentally boarded a plane.

I watched half a movie before dozing off. The journey lasted for 5 hours departing from KL, but I barely feel any time has passed since I got on the bus.

Fit for the kings, indeed.

Halloween DIY

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!

It's the time of the year again and I am overwhelmed by this festival. Okay, so what it's not a big thing in Malaysia, it's the only time in the year that you get to dress up all gruesome or freaky or slutty while walking down the street and no one would give a damn about you. Okay, so maybe slutty will always grab tons of attraction whether the season or not.

But no matter, I'm not into slutty outfits, those are for sluts, or people who are desperate to use their beautiful figures and revealing attires to be the centre of attention. What? Okay, I envy those whores, happy? Unfortunately I do not possess the most attractive assets. nor the beauty of Aphrodite. So I have to settle for gruesome or wierdos.

Naturally, I love being gruesome, what is there not to love about the ugly and horrible. I always have a tendecy towards gothic culture. If I had a way of life, I would have chosen to become a vampire, sleep in coffin and drink blood eternally. How fascinating =.=

I'm already half vampire anyway, since I don't see much of broad day light due to my nocturnal habit. There's something about the night that I find irresistable. Maybe I should start drinking chicken blood to complete the transformation. (Drinking human blood is illegal) Mmm, I wonder~~

So, in another 12 hours, I will be on the bus to KL to prepare for the party of the year in Zouk. Free entrance for fully dressed costume party-goer. Erm, I have already thought long and hard for the costume. I wanted something out of the world, not slutty or freaky, something horrifying or scary, just like how halloween's suppose to be. Due to my budget, I have to settle for something original and classical.

Wood nymph was my first choice, but finding green body paint would be difficult in Malaysia, not to mention costly. And the outcome would probably make me look like incredible hulk's wife. Idea abandoned~

After going through, the nostalgic ghost, half man half woman, part fairy part devil, etc. I finally decided on the black widow bride. Contradicting? Yes. Why would it fit halloween theme? Well, first of all, widow bride - a bride who lost her husband (groom) on her wedding day, therefore widowed; black widow - a poisonous creepy crawly; black - when attending funeral you would need to wear black. So the costume would fit the title, literally - everything in black. Ha ha.

To cut down on budget, I decided to do a bit of homemade halloween accessories. Check this out.

First, take some fake flowers, preferably white, and spray it black.

Faux Roses I bought from a flower shop, RM3.50

Remeber to layout some newspaper and do the spraying outdoor.

The black spray paint bought from KL arts shop

While waiting for the paint to dry, get a wire hairband,

bought from Sinma, only RM6.50

and a piece of black cloth, any shop that sells fabric cloths.

1.5 meters, RM3. (I never knew there were so many shops selling cloth in Melaka)

Sew the cloth in so,

My needle technique sucks~ Ha ha

then sew the hairband and cloth togeher. Like this,

Turns out not bad~

Rip some shreds and holes at the other end and there you go!

A black Veil for a funeral wedding. (I put on flash to let you see it's slightly transparent)

Now that the flowers are dry. Bring them in and start decorating.

see black rose

Put some glitters on, bought from popular, RM3.50

Whoi-lah, doesn't it look like some expensive fancy flowers that Malays use for their weddings

Don't forget to wrap it.

First step

Second step. Now it's officially a wedding flower bouquet!!

There's all for accessories, now I'm all set for tomorrow? Oh, I mean today. It's 4am in the morning. :p Vampire~

Anyone care to join me? Let's Par-Tay!!!!!

A Flowerful Day

It's the first day of Hari Raya, and I got a major surprise this morning. With a faceful of flowers presented to me, I was both delighted and flattered.

After counting the roses, there's a total of 58 roses! Wow, that really made my day. Immediately I took out few empty vases around the house and started flower arranging. There's white, sweet pink, pink, red, orange, yellow and blue roses~! Right~ I haven't done any flower arrangings since my day in England, though I had a few occasions back when I was staying in KL, England was the time when I started having a fetish over flowers. Every week I made sure that I would buy fresh flowers to put in my room, and my room was always full of aroma.

Here are my productions~!

White and Red Roses

Pink and Light Pink Roses

Orange, Yellow and Blue Roses

Miscellaneous Flowers

How how? My flower arrangement skill ok or not? Do give comments~ He he

I have finally decided to transfer my blogging site to here from http://nicootan.blogs.friendster.com/my_blog/

Ever since one incident that friendster accidentally erased all my posts in one night, leaving nothing but my first ever blog. My one year of memories just got washed down the drain. Okay, so it may be my fault for not keeping back-up copies of all postings, but see, I don't have that kind of habit. And I might have taken the site for granted, thinking it will protect my posts forever~ Sigh~~ sweet sweet memories~

I haven't learned much since then, coz I'm not going to keep any backup for this site either, it's just me, hahaha.

Let my journey begins~

Nicole Special Diet Tips - Version 1

First, I would like to clarify that, I am not supermodel skinny nor am I some nutritional experts that're qualified enough to post suggestions on effective and fool-proof dieting plan, there is no such thing anyway. But, like any normal girl that are suffering under the SFS (Skinny Fashion Syndrome), I have, as you may put it, tried every possible diet in the book, online, friend's suggestions, talk shows, magazines, some supermodels' advices...etc.

I was, as I might as well admit, a diet freak back when I was 18. Those of you who knew me back then (in college) understand just how well I am as a walking Calories + Glycerin Index Calculator. Just show me some food, whether it's fruits, junk food, vegetables or drinks, I can almost immediately deduce just how much that amount of food weigh in calories by grams, G.I. points, sugar and fat content. Yea, I was pretty serious.. and crazy. I tried fasting for 3 days with nothing but water, and tried going on chocolates diet (simply because I love chocolates and couldn't live without it).

The story's like this, I went for two weeks purely on chocolates: breakfast, lunch, dinner and sometimes supper, have chocolate drinks and again chocolates for snacks. I tried all sorts of chocolates, choc bars, white, dark, milk, caramel, powdered, nutty... you name it. In the end, I got so sick of chocolates that I swear to never have another piece of chocolate for as long as I live (which only lasted for two months :p). But... by the end of two weeks, I lost 2 kgs. Which is amazing, haha.. who would have thought eating so much can lose weight.

It's not until sometime later that I realised the one nutri diet concept. Means by choosing to eat a fix food categories, you'll lose weight, but only temporary. That's how Atkins - focus on meat and protein, cabbage soup diet, carb-free diet, fruit juice diet came about.

I wasn't anything like obese back then, but what I went through, I prefer the term "puberty", very late puberty~ :p. So having gone through all that, I might as well share some comments about my thinking of effective dietings:

1) Go on a detox , it really works. Go on as many days as you want (or able to withstand), usually 1-3 days for normal people, people with more weight to lose can try up to 1-2 weeks. During detox, you’re only allowed to have water, fresh extracted fruit juice, and if you can’t take it, have some fruits if you must. But better effect if you only have liquid intake during these times. DO NOT binge right after your detox period, you will gain back three times as much as before. Start with small light food such as fruits and raw/boiled vege; 2-3 days later move on to light cook food – lightly fry vege, hard boil eggs, more fruits; 3-5 days later you can move on to lean meat like fish, plenty of them and vege. Try this for few days to a week before going back to your normal diet (but keep it healthy, always). You will, at least, lose up to 14-21 lbs (if you have that much to lose) by now.

2) Water, water and water!! This is usually taken lightly by many but very very very important procedure. Especially when you’re on a detox, drink up to at least 10 glasses of water each day, you need to keep you body hydrated and help your body get rid of the toxins in your body for effective diet. One full glass once you wake up in the morning is a must. And one before bed time, but drink the glass at night cautiously, don’t drink it all in one gulp, you’ll be bloated not just tomorrow, but many days to come. Take sip by sip and finish one glass before you sleep.

3) Never ever eat supper, it’s a sin. In fact, don’t eat anything after 8pm. Let your body digest and rest for the night, don’t stress it out by putting more food in before bedtime, it won’t digest properly and you will get fat! So your dinner should be around 6-7pm. Model and actress Keira Knightly don’t eat after 6pm, and look how skinny she is.

4) Working out is always the best way to keep fit, don’t be lazy, you want that bikini bod, you better work it. But girls, don’t do extreme workout like 5 hours of extensive running or hardcore gym-ing just because you wanna lose weight fast, it will backfire. You will harden your muscles before losing the fat, which will end up having thick arms or calves. Try light cardio workout, like slow jog or walking, cycling, yoga, Pilates etc. Disco dancing does not count.

That's about it, for now. Why am I writing this? Because Nicole is bored and has nothing better to write~ :p
